Decatur, Texas – January 28, 2025 – The Decatur Economic Development Corporation (DEDC) is pleased to announce that International Aviation Composites LLC (IAC) has selected Decatur as the location for its new rotor-blade testing facility. This investment of over $2.6 million will support both the defense and commercial aerospace sectors, playing a critical role in advancing national security and the aviation industry.
Founded in 1992, International Aviation Composites has been at the forefront of manufacturing and repairing rotor blades in Texas, with an established production facility in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The new facility in Decatur will enhance IAC’s capabilities and expand its footprint within the growing aerospace cluster in the region.
The facility will be located in the Eagles Landing Business Park, which is quickly becoming a new hub for aerospace employers. The new addition comes on the heels of recent investments from Onyx Specialties and Omega Research, both of which have chosen Decatur as the site for their expanding operations. These companies, also serving defense and commercial aerospace clients, further contribute to the development of a dynamic aerospace cluster in the community.
